L'ultima foto è bellissima ngl.
Dallo stesso link:
CITAZIONE Turner-Smith’s casting is an ingenious transfer by producers Faye Ward and Hannah Farrell, as a result of it accentuates her position as an outsider — and makes us extra conscious of the perils she confronted by the hands of her husband and his scheming courtiers.
With author Eve Hedderwick Turner and director Lynsey Miller, the intention in Anne Boleyn was to ‘challenge the perception’ of the doomed queen — ‘and even what was taught in schools’, mentioned Ward, the artistic director of Fable Pictures and a pressure behind Sarah Gavron’s acclaimed movie Rocks (now streaming on Netflix).
Jodie Turner-Smith is each inch a queen in her fierce and passionate portrayal of Anne Boleyn in a gripping new tv drama in regards to the second of Henry VIII’s six wives
She mentioned the various volumes written about Boleyn — principally by males — ‘read as if her downfall was her fault, when she was murdered by her husband’.
[...]
The purpose for casting Turner-Smith, Ward advised me, was as a result of ‘we want the audience to see the poster for Anne Boleyn and know that your indoctrinated version of the story is going to be rewound and reset’.

Cioè adoro che vengano a dirci HOT TAKE: SHE WAS INNOCENT!

Why would say something so controversial etc etc.

Prossimamente su Tumblr: "Was the historical Jane Seymour as racist as her fictional counterpart?"

CITAZIONE Prossimamente su Tumblr: "Was the historical Jane Seymour as racist as her fictional counterpart?"
