Non so se lasciarlo qui o considerarlo un period drama:
CITAZIONE Last Autumn your trusted spy informed you that Katherine Langford will lead new Arthurian epic series CURSED at Netflix and now they've found the rest of the cast and it seems they think mediaeval England was very diverse. Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgård, Peter Mullan, Lily Newmark, Shalom Brune Franklin, Daniel Sharman (who did not exactly shine in Medici series with his lack of charisma, acting chops and any on screen depth), Sebastian Armesto, Emily Coates, Catherine Walker and Billy Jenkins will also star in the ten episode series that starts shooting this month.
CURSED, based on the Lady of the Lake legend, it follows Nimue (Katherine Langford), a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.

Vedo già il grande cacaturo che viene alla luce. Lei a me poi non piace per niente e lui meno che mai, cmq adorerei di vedere una serie tv fatta bene sui cicli arturiani, sarebbe un sogno tipo GOT ma con costumi più belli.

MUOIO. Stanno sfruttando la bellezza e carica drammatica di lei secondo me, ma ormai è passata l'era in cui leggo "Netflix" e mi fido subito.

Sarebbe un sogno una serie ben fatta sulle leggende arturiane, e ancora di più su Nimue, ma il rischio ciofeca è sempre altissimo XD

La premessa è terrificante, si intuisce già che sarà una serie a metà tra reign e merlin xD un adattamento fatto bene di Malory, Chrétien de Troyes e Monmouth sarebbe chiedere troppo; poi il ciclo arturiano senza Morgana non è il ciclo arturiano, I said what I said.

Non esiste Artù senza Morgana e stacce, ma non sarebbero mai in grado di portare alla luce i romanzi cortesi di de Troyes e neanche quelli "modernizzati" della Bradley, di cui io, confesso, sono appassionata. Comunque per come l'hanno descritta loro mi pare che Nimue sia una specie di Katniss Everdeen senza frecce.

Sono sempre contenta di leggere/vedere roba in cui le donne delle leggende arturiane hanno ruoli sostanziosi però boh, per me la spada nella roccia può essere solo di Artù  Penso che proverò lo stesso ma non mi aspetto granché.

No ragazze io vivo per il ciclo arturiano, ho visto tutte le versioni possibili. Non importa quanto sia trash (e questa pare ne abbondi), io la devo vedere 😂 però sono molto interessata al libro, appena riesco a tornare a Milano farò un salto alla Feltrinelli
