The Musketeers has been renewed for a second series/season, according to reports.

Per production company Czech Anglo Productions, the BBC period drama has been green-lit for a 10-episode second series:

Czech Anglo Productions are delighted to announce that the 2nd series of “The Musketeers” has today been green lit to shoot in Prague with Prep due to begin next week for a further 10 episodes.

Congratulations to everyone on our fabulous crew for all the hard work done last year to make this possible, and now to do it all over again!!

BBC recommissions The Musketeers

The BBC has ordered a second series of The Musketeers.

With a consolidated audience of 9.3 million for episode one of The Musketeers, this makes it the BBC’s biggest new drama launch since Call The Midwife. The first three episodes of the show, which airs on Sunday at 9pm, averaged 6.3 million viewers in the overnight ratings.

Charlotte Moore, controller, BBC One, says: “Drama in 2014 has got off to a great start on BBC One and The Musketeers has really brought something fresh and new to the channel."

The current 10-part series stars Luke Pasqualino (Skins, The Borgias) as D’Artagnan alongside The Musketeers, Tom Burke (Great Expectations, The Hour) as Athos, Santiago Cabrera (Merlin, Heroes) as Aramis and Howard Charles (Royal Shakespeare Company) as Porthos. All four cast will return in series two.

Creator Adrian Hodges says: “Writing and helping produce the show has been one of the greatest challenges and joys of my professional life.”

A BBC Drama Production, The Musketeers is co-produced by BBC WorldWide and BBC America.

Jessica Pope is the BBC executive producer, Adrian Hodges is an executive producer and lead writer, and Colin Wratten is producer.

The Musketeers was re-commissioned by Charlotte Moore and Ben Stephenson, controller, BBC drama commissioning.

Sto ancora qua che me lo chiedo, non ho niente contro la Milady che hanno scelto ma non riesce a conquistarmi ;_; persino quella pigna di Constance inizia a starmi simpatica, ma lei ancora niente.

Molto facile identificarsi con lei poi ù_ù ma a parte gli scherzi sì è quella che fa più simpatia! Oggi lo danno Musketeers o saltava una settimana? C'era uno show che saltava una settimana ma non ricordo più quale XD

Okkei ho visto solo la seconda puntata, stasera conto di vedere la terza ! Comunque mi pare piacevole come serie tv, devo dire che ancora non mi ha preso totalmente, ma aspetto che il personaggio di Athos sia preso più in considerazione cosi come la sua storyline con milady, spero almeno che ci sia altrimenti vado fuori di testa !
D'Artagnan non mi piace, ma in difesa di Pasqualino c'è da dire che non lo rende cosi odioso anzi, ma a me sta antipatico dal romanzo ! Devo dire che però la sua storia con Constance non mi dispiace, cioè lei pare una bisbetica assurda, ma con il marito che si ritrova la capisco in pieno !
Aramis e Anne sono bellini *__* , praticamente sarebbero un esperimento di eugenetica se si mettessero assieme ed è anche una storia complessa da perseguire quella tra un moschettiere e la regina, ecco una cosa che riconosco alla BBC è che alla fine non hanno costruito i pg storici cosi OC , anzi Anna e Luigi sono esattamente come io li ho sempre immaginati , soprattutto il re !
Portos mi fa ridere un sacco, ma pare quello che la in mezzo ci sta per fare bella figura e Richelieu con Capaldi è il più simpatico devo dirlo !

In realtà vale lo stesso per me, mi diverto per un po' ma non mi appassiono. In parte "me la prendo" col cast perché senza attori che mi piacciano da morire non riesco mai a sentire un vero trasporto (ecco perché la presenza di Annabelle mi fa fangirlare attendendo la 7), in parte pure con le ship (cioè Aramis e Anne se li sono scordati XD how), comunque è una mia tara mentale lol

Altri stills che non erano su spoiler tv. Non so a voi ma a me farfaraway site non funziona sempre, quindi devo dosare le foto XD

La foto di Athos bellissima *___* Ma il mio problema è che d'Artagnan non mi interessa e le ship sono ancora appena accennate almeno fino a quando sono arrivata io eh ! E' anche vero che in una serie come i Moschettieri dovrebbe essere l'avventura a prenderti e la trama in sé , ma forse causa scrittura della serie ancora non è riuscita in questo! Non è come lo sceneggiato sul Conte di Montecristo che in fin dei conti delle ship non te ne frega niente perché sta tutto nel pg di Edmond e nella sua storia !
